In this section:
The Toolbar Icons
The Mole installs a Toolbar icon (The Mole icon) into the
information source (e.g. Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer or Adobe Acrobat Reader). When The Mole is running,
from within the information source the User can push the Toolbar icon to
execute the content analysis. The resulting analysis will then be displayed in a new
window.
Microsoft Word: If The Mole Toolbar icon is not available in Microsoft Word,
this indicates that Microsoft Word Startup path was unable to be located during the installation process. To
resolve this problem, manually copy the WordMole.dot file (located in The Mole program files directory)
and paste a short-cut into the Microsoft Word Startup directory. To find the Microsoft Word
Startup path, Open Microsoft Word and go to the 'Tools' ... 'Options' Menu and then select the 'File
Locations' Tab. File Types - 'Startup' will have the required File Location path.
Adobe Acrobat Reader: If The Mole Toolbar icon is not available in Adobe Acrobat Reader,
this indicates that an Acrobat Reader Preference needs to be set.
To resolve this problem, open Adobe Acrobat from the Windows Start menu,
select Programs, then select Acrobat Reader. Once the Reader has
opened, select the menu Edit, Preferences and Options. Within the
Startup area of the Options form, make sure that the preference called
"Certified Plug-ins Only" is not checked (the check box is
blank). Select OK to update your Preferences and Exit Adobe Acrobat
Reader. Restart Acrobat Reader to activate the new setting.
Adobe Acrobat Reader (running within a web browser: If The Mole Toolbar
icon is not available in Adobe Acrobat Reader when you are viewing PDF
files from websites, this indicates that an
Acrobat Reader Preference needs to be set.
To resolve this problem, open Adobe Acrobat from the Windows Start menu,
select Programs, then select Acrobat Reader. Once the Reader has
opened, select the menu Edit, Preferences and Options. Within the
Web Browser Options area of the Options form, make sure that the
