How The Mole Content Discoverer works

The Mole Content Discoverer retrieves information from across your organization (personal or enterprise information sources) or from a set of search results based on your search expression.

Advanced search terms provide access to content based on the matching of patterns e.g. money, dates, addresses combined with specified topics.

Concept searching using your organization’s defined terminology enables you to search for information based on related terms and concepts. This provides a means to enhance and future proof your organization’s access to information.

The result set of documents is sorted on the basis of the significance of the content in relation to your search expression. Suggested words are provided for you to refine the search result. Abstracts of significant content based on your area of interest enable you to quickly access the information relevant to you.

The means of engaging with the information to discover to what extent the information is relevant is provided by The Mole Content Analyzer. Key words and phrases give insights into the information to enhance information discovery.

Navigation of the information is provided by:

• A document link to the source document: the size of the document and last modified date/time of the document: selecting the link will open the source document.

• The key sentence: The Mole analyzes the content of the document and returns the sentence in the document that is the most significant based on your search expression, to assist you in determining if the document or content is of relevance to you.

• Key word(s) link to the content of the document: selecting any link will provide an abstract of the significant content based on the key word selected.

• The Document Location: a URL to the document's location.

• Sentence yield: how many sentences in the document contain the word(s) that you searched for. Selecting the link will provide an abstract (contextual view) of the significant content in the document based on your search expression enabling you to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the document's content.

• Refine Analysis: selecting the link will provide a list of suggested words to enable you to further refine the search result.
